Overton Beach Park to Reopen for Summer Season

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — Santee Cooper’s Overton Beach Park will reopen for the summer season beginning May 23, welcoming visitors seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., officials announced Tuesday.

Located about five miles north of Moncks Corner on Lake Moultrie, the park offers swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking, with certified lifeguards on duty throughout the season.

Admission is $5 per person for ages 4 and up, while a $100 family season pass covers up to four people per vehicle. Picnic shelters are also available for rent starting at $100, payable by cash or credit card.

The park is scheduled to close for the season on Aug. 1.
