Berkeley County SRO Supervisor Named Finalist for Governor’s Law Enforcement Award

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — A Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant has been recognized among South Carolina’s top law enforcement professionals.

Lt. Corinthian Green, who supervises the agency’s School Resource Officer Division, was selected as a finalist for the Governor’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award, held Tuesday in Columbia.

The annual ceremony, hosted by Governor Henry McMaster, honors officers statewide for exceptional service, professionalism, and dedication to their communities. Lt. Green was one of eleven finalists chosen from nominations submitted by state, county, and municipal agencies across South Carolina.

Sheriff Duane Lewis said the recognition reflects Lt. Green’s leadership and commitment to Berkeley County. “We are incredibly proud of Lt. Green for being recognized at the state level alongside some of the finest law enforcement professionals in South Carolina,” Lewis said in a statement.

Lt. Green has served with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office since 2014 and currently oversees deputies assigned to local schools.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety administers the Governor’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year program, which selects winners based on professionalism, community service, valor, and innovation in policing.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office extended congratulations to all finalists and winners honored during the statewide ceremony.
